High School & College drop out rate

In your opinion, what do you think are the causes of the increasing rate of high school and college drop out here in the United States?
All i can think of so far are the following: gang involvement, poverty, teen pregnancy, peer pressure, the lack of motivation, drugs, and alcohol. Thats about it if you think of something feel free to write it here or give me a comment on this one.
